Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18 of 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix showed a flair for athletics early on discovering her athletic abilities during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks, after her very first tryout. Felix finished high school and signed an official contract to Adidas. In the year 2004, she enrolled in her first year at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. She defended the title by beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her races.
